Portland & Upper Mount Bethel EMS BLS (Basic Life Support) and Medic 9 ALS (Advanced Life Support) are the Primary Emergency Medical Services for Portland Borough, all of Upper Mount Bethel Township and North Bangor. We are an independent non-profit service. We are NOT FUNDED by LOCAL TAXES or government funds. Our primary financial source is through this subscription program and billing for services rendered. Please Contact us if you have not received your Annual Subscription letter.

Portland EMS & Medic 9 service $65.00 for a family or $55.00 for individuals

Portland EMS service Only $40.00 for a family or $35.00 for individuals.

Benefit of a Subscription: Unlimited medically necessary emergency ambulance / paramedic service. Medical necessity is defined by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Service Guidelines.

We will bill your insurance carrier, accept their approved payment of co-payment. However, you will be responsible for any annual deductible and co-payments not met and designated as your responsibility by your Insurance Carrier on their explanation of benefits.

If you do not have medical insurance coverage, after verification of non-coverage and verification of active memberships, your membership allows us to close and mark your account paid.

A subscription is not an insurance policy.

Non-subscriber: Unlimited medical necessary emergency ambulance / paramedic service.

We will bill your insurance carrier for services rendered, accept their approved payment and co-payment. HOWEVER, you will be responsible for any unpaid balances, deductibles and co-pays designated by your insurance carrier on their explanation of benefits.
